I figured it would be time to repost. It's amazing how distracted I can get. Easily. I'm taking some classes in Jacksonville, over the summer. It's nice to be home. Although, I have yet to have a Summer break since I graduated for High School, it's been nice.
This summer, I'm taking Macroeconomics (I got an A), Microeconomics, Financial Accounting (I got a C), and Intro to computer science.
I guess that this is the start of my business classes. I hadn't even touched them (the classes) even though I declared it as my minor two semesters ago. But, no time like the present, right?
Last post, I mentioned that I was having trouble in French, I would just like to give an update. I received straight B's for the entire semester in every class, so that means I brought myself out of academic probation. Hooray!
So, this summer, i decided I would get a head start in French. I have contacted Kayoung Mee Joo, my professor for Theatre, and she has instructed me to go ahead and read some of Moliere and Racione's plays. So right now, I'm reading Le Misanthrope. I'm not exactly sure what it's about, but it's a comedy and I'm looking forward to it.
Today, i took a break and watched Rose Red. Has anyone seen it? It's an amazing mini TV series. It's about 4 hours long. Stephen King wrote the screenplay. And why is it that my favorite character always dies? And I don't mean most of the time. I mean ALWAYS dies. It's so sad.
I'm very excited for this next semester. I'm going to be taking some very fun classes. This is the point in college where all your GenEds are done, and you have you major and minor classes to do. so, this upcoming fall semester, I will be taking the following:
- Advanced French Conversation
- French Composition (Writing)
- Survey of French Literature 1
- 17th Century French Theatre
- Managerial Accounting
With all this French, I'm going to love the Accounting class. Hahaha. Well, all I can say is I hope they offer tutoring for accounting, because (as you can tell by the grade) I had a lot of trouble in that class.
Well, I'm on my way to the gym. I'm trying my best to be healthy. I lost 5 pound, but gained it back at the family reunion this past fourth of July. So, I have lots to make up for. Later!
